Scrappy Gnome Cookie Jar PDF Pattern - UK Terms
Welcome to the Scrappy Gnome Cookie Jar!
A little mischievous, a little adorable, and full of handmade charm, the Scrappy Gnome Cookie Jar is the perfect way to turn an ordinary jar or canister into something truly special. Designed with creativity in mind, this playful gnome is a wonderful stash-busting project that lets you have fun with all those colourful yarn scraps.
The pattern includes both UK and US crochet terms and features lots of embellishment patterns, allowing you to customise your gnome with delightful details and personality. It also includes helpful tips for adjusting the design to suit different jar or canister sizes, making it easy to create a gnome that fits perfectly.
One of the most fun parts of this project is that your gnome can be decorated to suit different seasons and holidays. Dress it up for Christmas, add bright colours for Easter, spooky touches for Halloween, or simply create a cheerful everyday gnome to guard your cookies, treats, or crafty treasures.
Let your imagination run wild and create a Scrappy Gnome that’s completely unique to you.

Language: English
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Finished Size: I’ve used 2 different sized jars that were originally Moccona coffee jars. Each one finished as a Gnome measures.... Small - 25cm high Large - 35cm high
Pattern Construction Overview -This pattern is worked in four main parts:
Part 1: The beard and nose first.
Part 2: The body of the cookie jar.
Part 3: Crochet the beard and nose onto the body and finishing off the jar body including the hat brim.
Part 4: The hat and embellishments and construction.
Yarn Requirements:
I used Fiddlesticks Finch 10ply cotton. Each 71g ball has 109m.
I used approximately 250 to 300 grams in total. Also dependent on the size you are making.
The large multi pink cookie jar used 1 ball of White, 1 ball of Pink, 1 ball of Lolly, 1 ball of Fuscia.
The decorations you add will determine just how much of each ball you will use. OR alternatively you can use up your scrap yarns.
📸 The pattern includes clear, easy-to-follow instructions written in English for both UK and US terms, plus plenty of helpful photos to guide you through each step.
